Overview
Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Planner position. This is a direct hire opportunity expected to be on-site in Orlando, FL.
SummaryThe selected Planner will plan and coordinate production schedules with an ERP system, ensuring customer orders are planned properly to drive raw materials as required and that the production plan is executed accordingly. The Planner will review expedites and customer changes, as well as weekly portals, to ensure changes fit within the standard plan.
Responsibilities- Work toward exceeding all timelines and delivery goals for both internal and external customers.
- Firm and/or create production orders for assigned work centers.
- Use critical thinking to ensure plans are attainable.
- Work on material shortages and communicate with the necessary teams.
- Follow the logic of resource capabilities to assign jobs to work centers as needed.
- Communicate issues with other departments as required.
- Perform ERP transactions as needed to move parts to stock, complete production orders and other required transactions.
- Support the Master Planner by performing assigned planning and coordination duties to maintain operations efficiency.
- Provide back-up support to the Shipping & Receiving Department as needed to ensure uninterrupted departmental operations.
- Drive continuous improvement methodology for planning functions.
- Report on defined KPIs.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to 5S and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Understanding of ERP/MRP Systems;
Microsoft Dynamics preferred. - Good writing and verbal communication skills.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment while coordinating and collaborating with personnel from other departments.
- Proven ability to manage substantial administrative responsibility in a fast-paced work environment.
- Knowledge of electronics specification and BOM experience is helpful.
- Must be able to work with ITAR data without a license.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, manufacturing, or related field preferred or 2-year technical degree.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in production planning, materials planning, or related administrative/ERP support roles.
