Overview

At Hoverfly Technologies, you won’t just support products—you’ll ensure mission-critical aerial systems are built right, every time. As our Mechanical Sustainment Engineer
, you’ll solve component-level mechanical issues in production and existing products
. This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys troubleshooting tolerances, print issues, stack-ups, assembly fit, and DFM challenges in small electromechanical systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Troubleshoot component fit, tolerance stack-up, and assembly interference issues
  • Resolve drawing, print, redline, and designer assembly discrepancies
  • Improve work instructions, machine prep, and assembly repeatability
  • Support DFM and tolerance optimization for small electromechanical components
  • Partner with vendors and machinists on print clarification and manufacturability
  • Support additive manufacturing / 3D printing issues where applicable
  • Drive updates to drawings, BOMs, and assembly documentation
Why You’ll Be Successful
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or sustainment engineering supporting products in production
  • Strong experience with tolerances, stack-ups, GD&T, and print interpretation
  • Proven ability to solve small-picture component and assembly issues
  • Experience with small electromechanical products, robotics, aerospace components, or medical devices
  • Strong DFM and assembly troubleshooting instincts
