None     CACI is looking for a technician who can serve as a skilled technical specialist to build, align and test high precision Electro-Optical and mechanical systems in support of production Space/Satellite programs and aid engineers in the development of test and alignment fixtures and tools.

This is a second shift position (2:00 pm to 10:30pm) Monday through Friday. Training will be done on the first shift.

** What you'll get to do:
*** Fabricate subassemblies and perform integration of subassemblies with electrical, optical and mechanical components for production units
* Independently follow detailed, pre-approved work instructions and test procedures and record detailed test data in Travelers
* Support requests for parts, materials and equipment required for assembly and testing of subassemblies.
* Ensure that all tools, equipment, and consumables are within calibration and expiration dates.
* Maintain detailed records of assembly processes, testing results, and any modifications made. Create comprehensive documentation outlining assembly procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
* Inspect products, materials, or components to identify defects or deviations from quality standards. Use various tools and techniques for inspection, such as calipers, gauges, and testing equipment.
* Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to provide feedback on design improvements and manufacturing processes.

** You’ll Bring These

Qualifications:

*** Three years' experience building and testing custom, complex high precision electro optical assemblies.
* Fiber optic splicing processes and equipment, including arc fusion splicers, cleavers, and re-coaters.
* Use of optical sources, power meters, and optical spectrum analyzers to test optical components.
* General understanding of how to follow detailed work instructions and record required information in Travelers for traceability
* Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience or Secondary/associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Work is typically performed in a Cleanroom environment (ISO Class
7) which requires proper safety precautions.
* Ability to use your hands in a skillful, coordinated way to grasp and manipulate objects and demonstrate small, precise movements.
* Ability to follow detailed work instructions or test procedures
* Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
* Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle changing priorities.
* Willingness to learn new tasks/skills.
* Familiarity or experience with schematic capture design tools preferred.
* Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen, preferred.
* Hand soldering in compliance to J-STD-0001 space addendum a plus
* Must be a US Citizen
