Blow Operator Night Shift

Job Summary

Position:
Machine Operator (Blow Molding) – responsible for operating multiple blow molding machines and vision systems, carrying out mold changes, minor maintenance, and ensuring product quality and safety.

• Maintain production runs, ensuring machines operate smoothly and minimize downtime, including communicating problems to incoming shift personnel.
• Complete all mold changes and set‑ups, performing minor maintenance as needed.
• Organize daily clean‑up assignments and maintain good housekeeping throughout the area of responsibility.
• Support Injection Machine Operators and other team members to foster a positive team environment.
• Check and monitor quality on all assigned machines, recognizing visual defects and making appropriate adjustments.
• Maintain documentation of quality checks, testing, process checks, downtime, housekeeping, and data entry.
• Demonstrate knowledge of all related software and equipment required for efficient production of quality product.
• Follow established safety rules and guidelines, communicate hazards, and use required personal protective equipment.
• Perform related duties as directed by the Production Supervisor or Lead.
• Notify of any observations that may create a product safety risk to customers.
• Report any unsafe acts, conditions, or accidents in the department.
• Take reasonable care for self and others to prevent injury.

• Hearing and listening.
• Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, pushing/pulling, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting (50+ pounds) and carrying (50+ pounds).
• Lifting and carrying less than 50 pounds.
• Driving a forklift (optional).
• Medium physical demand:
  Lift, push, pull up to 1000 pounds over 50 feet using a hydraulic hand jack; lift 75 pounds from ground to 4 feet overhead occasionally; carry 75 pounds for 5 feet rarely; stand/walk up to 11 hours per shift on concrete floor; work 12‑hour shifts day or night, including weekends and holidays; work at elevations of 10 feet or more;
  
  perform bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching up to 60 inches.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous Blow Mold or Injection Mold training/experience preferred, or experience in manufacturing processes with mechanical aptitude.
• High attention to detail and product/process quality.
• Ability to manage time independently in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Willingness to work any shift and overtime as required.
