Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Effective project management
- Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
- Experience working with cross‑functional groups
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative to solve problems and issues as they arise
- Experience with data analytics
- Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools
- Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action tools
- Understanding of CNC machining
- Understanding of Computer Aided (CAD)
- Experience interpreting and applying Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance
Join our team as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the Machining Operations Center/Manufacturing Engineering Team. Our team is responsible for creating and improving manufacturing strategies for ultra-precision CNC machined. Our team plays a crucial role in developing and implementing solutions for technical and organizational challenges.
What You Will Be Doing- Deliver verbal and written status reports, highlighting project milestones and progress
- Communicate project risks, solutions, and schedule impacts to stakeholders
- Prioritize tasks to ensure the team is progressing in the right direction
- Represent the team in programmatic reviews and status meetings
- Assist in the development of proposals
- Create/update work instructions, mfg. sketches, and other shop floor documentation to support production needs
- Coordinate shop‑floor support as necessary to resolve technical and manufacturing issues
- Organize discussions and approaches to Root Cause analysis of component non‑conformances and ensure implementation of effective Corrective Action
- Monitor and report on quality, schedule, and cost performance of assigned projects/programs
This role is a unique opportunity to work on first production machined components along with long‑standing production components. Cutting‑edge software, machinery, and technology is utilized to produce components for our customers. This role is hands‑on and requires a desire to actively engage in shop‑floor daily production, troubleshooting, and improvement initiatives. Desired Skills- Proficient in utilizing Computer Aided (CAD)
- Experience using precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment
- General understanding of Mil‑Spec special processes (heat treatment, chem‑film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, etc.)
- Familiarity with ISO
9000 and AS9100 industry standards, and common military specifications - SAP and Apriso experience
- Windchill PLM
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
- Proposal development experience
