JOB SUMMARY

The Advanced Technology Intern supports the development of innovative technology platforms by researching emerging solutions, solving complex problems, and building rapid prototypes. This role offers hands‑on experience across the full development lifecycle, including design, integration, testing, and implementation of hardware, software, and interactive systems.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Contributes to development of internal work in all phases from conception to final release. Scope of work may include:

  • Planning, budgeting, design, implementation, installation, testing, adjustment, and documentation;
  • Hardware, software, network, and electronic architecture;
  • Modeling, coding, data processing, prototyping, constructing, and integrating;
  • Sensors, artificial intelligence, mixed reality hardware, mixed reality software, and integrated systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • A transcript is required upon application.
  • Strong communication skills, problem solving, data-driven and solution-focused.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  • Preferred majors include:
    Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Controls, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Lab/project/prototyping experience.
  • CAD (Solid Works or Fusion 360) experience.
  • Python, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Unity, Unreal experience.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING
  • This internship will be an in‑person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
  • All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
