Job Overview
Glass Fabrication Operator – Light Path Technologies, Orlando, FL. Shift: First Shift with a 9/80 work schedule.
Responsibilities- Work hands‑on to produce optical components.
- Operate in a production environment to fulfill work orders.
- Complete daily schedule and assignments as assigned.
- Enter data into production reports and software including Excel and MRP systems.
- Set up and adjust settings and troubleshoot multiple optical manufacturing machinery and processes (, furnaces).
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Adhere to all safety rules and protocols.
- Pass an OSHA Respirator Test and wear a respirator intermittently as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Stop any nonconforming process(es) that may affect safety, quality or customer satisfaction.
- Report halted nonconforming process(es) to the production manager, quality department, and/or process engineer.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Capable of setting up, adjusting settings, and troubleshooting multiple optical manufacturing machinery and processes in the Glass Fabrication department.
- Familiar with a variety of raw material properties and safety procedures.
- Experience with standard measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers and balances.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Required to sit, talk, hear, walk, smell, stand, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as described.
- Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Work with moderate noise levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
- High school diploma or GED and 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination.
- Authorized to work and reside in the US and eligible for all required U.S. Government authorizations, including export control regulations (ITAR).
