Description
You will be the manufacturing support team member for the Engineering Prototype Lab. Our team is responsible for providing design‑phase support, producibility consulting, and the fabrication of fixtures and tooling.
What You Will Be DoingAs the manufacturing support team member you will be responsible for supporting the Engineering Prototype Lab’s operations, cost control, inventory management, and vendor coordination.
- Perform cost‑control analysis and reporting on overhead spend, IRAD dollars, and capital‑project tasks.
- Maintain manpower data, inventory, and tooling metrics to support daily shop activities.
- Interface with vendors to acquire shop tooling, consumables, and engineering supplies.
- Process invoices, receive and stock items, and serve as the Business Operations point of contact.
- Participate in Performance Management Team activities and provide administrative support.

Basic Qualifications- One or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree OR one or more years with a Master's degree in Manufacturing, Finance, Production Control or equivalent.
- Basic familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication & assembly.
- Competency utilizing MS Excel and other Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tools and data sets.
- Demonstrated ability to multi‑task in a fast paced environment.
- Due to the nature of this work scope, this is an on‑site full time position in the MFC Orlando EPL.
- Familiarity with manufacturing process flows in a machine shop environment.
- Ability to develop and produce reports that provide meaningful manufacturing metrics, applicable to a prototype development capability.
- Experience working in a job‑shop or “build to print environment”.
- Knowledge of LM systems such as SAP, Apriso, and others for ordering and tracking hardware.
- Prior experience executing capital improvement projects would be beneficial.
- Prior experience in Production Planning & Control or Material Procurement would be beneficial.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

Ability to Work RemotelyOnsite Full‑time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
