Food Safety Specialist

About the Role

The Food Safety Specialist supports the EHS Manager in ensuring food safety regulations and standards are upheld across all food service operations at Sea World.

• Observe food handling processes to ensure compliance with safety protocols at every stage of production and service.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits of food safety practices.
• Identify and report non-conformities, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Assist in training production and operational staff on food safety procedures, regulations, and best practices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, audits, training sessions, and corrective actions for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Support investigation of food safety incidents and contribute to timely resolution and prevention strategies.
• Stay informed about current food safety regulations, industry trends, and emerging best practices, and apply this knowledge to daily operations.

Candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• 1–2 years of experience in food safety or a related industry (preferred).
• Working knowledge of food safety regulations such as HACCP, FDA, and USDA.
• Must pass a Serv Safe Food Handler and Manager Certification course within 2 months of hire.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
