Quality Inspector

This role inspects wiring harnesses, electronic units, electromechanical assemblies, and completed products using prescribed specifications, inspection procedures, and quality standards. Verify product conformity through visual inspections, measurement tools, and blueprint interpretation while supporting quality and production requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect in-process and completed products using predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications.
  • Examine electronic units, subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies, mechanical units, and subassemblies for defects.
  • Identify structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.
  • Utilize measuring devices to verify product conformity.
  • Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units and systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, customer specifications, drawings, inspection instructions, and checklists.
  • Operate dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, and fixtures during inspection activities.
  • Monitor product quality in accordance with statistical process control and other quality control procedures.
  • Verify compliance with established manufacturing and inspection requirements.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience specifically inspecting wiring harnesses.
  • Maintained IPC‑WHMA‑A‑620 certification knowledge.
  • Interpretation of wire harness prints and technical documentation.
  • Experience with cable harness inspections and wiring harness design knowledge.
  • Verify compliance with IPC 620 and J‑STD requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Preferred: IPC 620 Space Addendum experience.
