As part of a hardworking team of experts, you will lead Blue Origin’s overall strategy, governance, and innovation for the Production Control discipline across all manufacturing sites. This team is responsible for setting policies, procedures, and processes for the short‑range scheduling, release, and management of manufacturing work order activities for various spaceflight systems. This individual will directly manage multiple PC teams and, through active engagement and influence, indirectly manage multiple PC specialists reporting to other departments.

  • Identify and implement standard controls focusing primarily on cycle time reduction with a special focus on shared services or common capabilities.
  • Represent Production Control in development of system tools.
  • Organization budget management, forecasting, and reconciling actuals.
  • Effectively collaborate with Production and Program organizations to maintain alignment on production priorities and capacity/capability changes.
  • Anticipate potential schedule and personnel risks, generate ideas, insight, and solutions to resolve or mitigate potential issues, followed by decisive action to implement solutions.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop your team for future progression within Blue Origin.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline, operations management, supply chain management or other relevant field.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations/production/supply planning, scheduling, materials management or other Sales Inventory & Operations Planning related functional area.
  • Extensive experience in and understanding of complex manufacturing and production systems (aerospace, medical or military environments).
  • Build and lead a high‑performing team that is tightly coordinated to key partners, including all teams supporting the manufacturing and supply chain of complex builds.
  • Experience with ERP, MRP, and MES systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Highly effective and professional verbal and written communication skills with internal customers and suppliers, with a strong focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction.
  • A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams across large geographic distances.
  • A continuous improvement mindset; we are always optimizing.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to the team.
