Overview

At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we are pioneering advanced flight training for the F‑35 Joint Strike Fighter, ensuring pilots can operate safely and effectively in complex combat environments.

• Continuously contribute design solutions that address complex engineering challenges across the full software lifecycle.
• Develop operational scenarios aligned with customer goals and contractual obligations.
• Define system requirements and architectures to ensure customer needs are accurately translated into the product development cycle.
• Incrementally develop product designs and delivery optimization requirements as a core member of a multidisciplinary Dev Sec Ops  team.
• Leverage Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to create functional, architectural, and detailed designs that evolve with operational scenarios and customer feedback.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related field and 5 years of relevant work experience, or a Master’s degree and 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Software lifecycle experience.
• Experience with C, C++ or C#.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (requires US citizenship).

• Working knowledge of Linux or Python/bash scripting, or DOORs, JIRA or Model Based Engineering (MBE).
• Working knowledge of Agile or similar tools; experience with Atlassian tool suite, Docker, Ansible, Git Lab, Nexus, AWS, Kubernetes, Vagrant, Packer, Terraform.

Requires a Secret clearance with investigation or CV date within 5 years. This position requires a government security clearance; applicant must be a US citizen.
