You will be a Fabricator for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for applying finish protective coatings, fabricating composite structures, and operating various processing equipment to produce high-quality products. What You Will Be Doing As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for applying protective coatings, operating processing equipment, and fabricating composite structures to meet quality and production standards.
You will work with a variety of materials, including carbon fiber, plastics, and metals, and use various equipment, such as spray guns, brushes, and sandblasters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Applying finish protective coatings, both air dry and baked, using spray guns and/or brushes
- Operating sandblaster or tumble blast equipment for removal of scale, flux, corrosion, and dirt from materials or parts
- Fabricating composite structures using carbon fiber material
- Setting up, planning, and proving the sequence of operations on injection molding machines and related controls
- Monitoring and performing required adjustments to ensure acceptable hardware is produced
- Mixing paints, lacquers, and enamels and thinning to consistency stipulated in company or customer specifications
- Operating spray painting equipment and performing touch-up and rework with spray gun and/or brushes

- The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or "3/12 Weekend" shifts as required in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees and management. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time day(s) away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Employee will be required to work multiple shifts and schedules per the UAW Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Employee will work on-site full-time
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
