Interpret manufacturing process plans, engineering drawings, and MIL specifications to perform coating, polishing, grinding, and diamond-turning of lenses, prisms, mirrors, shop aids and test plates;
Operate and maintain coating equipment for single- and multi-layer thin-film applications, ensuring repeatable thickness and optical performance;
Perform visual inspections, metrology checks, and document all process parameters and results in electronic tracking systems;
Troubleshoot coating defects, adjust process variables, and implement corrective actions to sustain quality and yield;
Support 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift schedules and collaborate with engineering, quality and manufacturing teams to drive continuous-improvement initiatives
