Logistics Specialist
Location:
Orlando, FL 32832 | Industry: Aerospace / Manufacturing | Salary: $24/hr |
Employment Type:
Contract through December 2026 (potential to extend or convert). Schedules Available: A Shift: Monday-Friday, 6AM to 4:30PM; B Shift: Monday-Friday, 3PM-1:30AM; C Shift: Friday-Sunday 6AM-6:30PM.
- Continuous improvement: evaluate, monitor, and raise a roadblock identified while working in a role that can cause a defect downstream; support root cause analysis and provide problem-solving details.
- Proper use of equipment: possess fundamental knowledge and skills in operating heavy equipment, primarily PIT equipment/forklifts, including operational mechanics, safety procedures, and maintenance practices.
- Operate any equipment needed to move heavy parts/material throughout the facilities, including electronic pallet jacks (EPJs), forklifts, reach-trucks, and turret trucks.
- Receive shipments: unload shipments delivered by carriers.
- Inspect shipments: visually examine packages arriving at the Fulfillment Center and determine acceptance according to standard operating procedures.
- Quality control checks: review requirements for each part number and process accordingly to the standard operating procedure.
- Document receipts: use tools and equipment to systematically upload, store, and follow SOPs to close out a receipt or work order.
- Data entry: navigate and select fields within an inventory management tool to input data from physical delivery of parts and navigate modules as needed.
- Packaging: identify the required packaging for parts and properly wrap/store parts with packaging at any stage of the Fulfillment/Manufacturing workflow.
- Sorting and staging: move packages/boxes/crates/storage containers while ensuring identification and securing to prevent loss within the workflow.
- Labeling and marking: ensure all parts are properly labeled with identifiers outlined in the SOP to track parts through the workflow.
- Storage assignment/auditing: store parts individually or in bulk following SOPs and audit per standard procedures.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience, including receiving and inventory functions.
- Prior certified forklift experience.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material.
- Experience in aerospace or automotive industry desired.
- Safety is a top priority; strict adherence to established safety protocols and guidelines, including PPE, safe operating procedures, and participation in safety training.

- Communication skills within a highly technical environment.
- Mathematical & Analytical skills to define problems, collect relevant data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions.

- ITAR:
