Northrop Grumman Defense Systems invites applications for an Engineer Systems position based in Orlando, FL, to join the Sentinel Training Devices Team. The role focuses on system integration, verification, and validation across all product life‑cycle stages, with a strong emphasis on requirements analysis, cost and risk assessment, and functional trade studies.
Roles and Responsibilities- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems at all product stages: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensure logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total system solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including developers, analysts, and other stakeholders, to empower the team and maintain continuous learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with at least 2 years of related technical experience; or Master’s degree with no related technical experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Demonstrated experience with requirements analysis, development, and management.
- Proficiency with at least one of the following tools:
- Requirements management tool Rational DOORS
- Cameo architecture development tool
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency with both DOORS and Cameo.
- Demonstrated MBSE experience.
- Ability to develop and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Understanding of software development methodologies.
Primary level salary range: $79,300.00 – $. Compensation may also include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and, for higher‑level positions, long‑term incentives.
