Position: Small Parts Assembly / Paint / Special Process Manufacturing Engineer in Orlando

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic Machining Operations Center/Manufacturing Engineering Team. As part of this collaborative team, you will contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of special processes and small parts assembly for ultra-precision machined components. Your work will involve driving technology and automation into these operations.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Collaborate with other Manufacturing Engineers, Industrial Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Production stakeholders.
  • Create or modify detailed work instructions and other shop‑floor documentation to support production needs.
  • Create fixture and tooling concepts and drawings.
  • Provide shop‑floor support as necessary to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
  • Investigate and perform root cause analysis of component non‑conformances and ensure implementation of effective corrective action.
  • Monitor and report on quality, schedule, and cost performance of assigned projects and programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to learn and receive training, and when required, train others.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Basic understanding of CAD software such as Siemens NX, CREO, Pro Engineer, or Solid Works.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with small parts assembly operation including precision pin installation, rivet installation, helicoils, etc.
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills.
  • Experience working with Mil‑Spec special processes (heat treatment, chem‑film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, etc.).
  • Experience with paint application and masking processes for components and assemblies.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment.
  • Experience with automation solutions.
  • Experience with chemistry including execution of titrations.
  • Experience with 3D printing.
  • Experience utilizing CREO or NX for CAD.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 and AS 9100 industry standards, and common military specifications.
