As a Sheet metal Mechanic with S.I. Goldman Company, your essential responsibilities are to:
- Assemble and join sheet metal parts through welding, riveting, soldering, and other appropriate techniques, ensuring structural integrity and that quality standards are met.
- Accurately measure and mark dimensions on sheet metal materials to ensure precise cuts and fit.
- Utilize technical drawings and blueprints to install fabricated sheet metal components and structures according to project specifications, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including measurements, materials used, and time spent on various tasks.
- Teach Sheet metal Helpers about best installation practices, proper use of tools, reading/interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications and teach codes pertaining to tasks, while performing daily tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least five (5) to six (6) years of experience with commercial sheet metal duct installation.
- Experienced with installing square and spiral ductwork.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, technical manuals and manufacturers’ manuals and instructions.
- Have attention to detail, precision, and a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English .
