Manufacturing Engineer
Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.
Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Analyze and interpret electrical, electromechanical, and cable schematics during development and production stages. Update and create assembly work instructions for efficient assembly based on the drawings and/or models. Investigate technical problems and provide guidance in support of manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing failures and help implement corrective action which may include design change recommendations.
Support the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the manufacturing process. Identify and maintain tool lists required for the efficient assembly of the given products. Work in close collaboration and guidance of Subject Matter Experts in the implementation of manufacturing functional improvements.

Basic Qualifications:
- Awarded Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
- Two or more years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with cable and/or harnesses production, and has the ability to analyze electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams
- Must be highly detailed-oriented due to the nature of electrical & electromechanical assemblies
- Excellent verbal/written communications skills
- Microsoft Office suite experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Desired
Skills:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a similar industry
- Familiarity with SAP (Qnotes, Routings, Bills of material) or a related manufacturing system
