About the Position

New York International Bread Co. is seeking an experienced Commercial Bakery Mixer Operator to join our production team. We are a high-volume commercial bakery producing quality bread products for our customers.

What You ll Do
  • Operate commercial bakery mixers safely, efficiently, and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Identify and gather the correct ingredients for each dough formulation.
  • Accurately measure, weigh, and load ingredients according to established recipes and production specifications.
  • Monitor the mixing process and ensure dough reaches the proper consistency for each bread product.
  • Transfer completed dough to the appropriate next stage of the production process.
  • Complete required production documentation accurately, including mixing times, weights, ingredient amounts, and other required information.
  • Follow established food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Report to scheduled shifts on time in a clean uniform and with all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work cooperatively with production team members and supervisors to maintain an efficient production flow.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Ability to work safely and accurately in a fast-paced commercial bakery environment.
  • Ability to follow recipes, written procedures, and production specifications.
  • Ability to accurately measure and record weights, quantities, and production information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience in a high-volume commercial bakery.
  • AIB training or equivalent bakery-related education.
  • Previous experience operating commercial bakery mixing equipment.
  • Knowledge of commercial dough preparation and bread production processes.
