Electro-Optical Technician W/ ACTIVE Secret Clearance

We are seeking a skilled Optical Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and inspection of Electro/Optical assemblies. Assemble Chassis Components, Electro-optic, and Electronic Assemblies from various forms of documentation and quality or engineering specifications, utilizing proper tools, equipment, and processes.

• Assembling products or sub-assemblies in a clean room manufacturing environment, according to verbal or written instructions or by following drawings, procedures, wiring lists or set operating procedures.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, torque tools and/or production equipment to include manual and automated testing equipment such as:
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Pulse generators
  • Meters
  • Power supplies
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Working and performing a wide variety of electronic, mechanical, and/or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies, in small scale.
• Assemble populated PCB, connectors and other components into housings and make required interconnections and other techniques as specified to IPC Class 3 standards.
• Fabricate Cable assemblies using soldering, wire crimping, and other techniques as required to IPC /WHMA-A-620, Class 3 standards.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Visual Acuity to correctable 20/20 is required.
• Ability to plan and prioritize tasks
• Operate Microscopes and eye loupe
• Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Repetitive hand and arm movement
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow directions, pay attention to detail and identify damaged product
• Good multi-tasking skills
• Preparation and Application of RTV
• Experience handling, inspecting, and cleaning optical elements, electronic packaging and working with ESD & FOD sensitive product
• Electronic packaging
• Work with small parts
• Perform to assembly procedures for job instructions
• Clean your area daily
• Experience in optics or optical labs (preferred)
• Work alongside others
• Follow set procedures

• Preferred 1 year Electrical/Mechanical/Optical assembly experience, to include wiring.
• Certification in high reliability electronic assembly processes, per J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 & IPC/WHMA-A-620 (preferred).

• Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, capable of multitasking and have high attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret various forms of assembly documentation.
• Ability to handle materials safely and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be authorized to work in the US and be eligible to obtain a passport.
• Must pass Security background screening process
• Must be able to work over-time as needed.
• Must hold SECRET CLEARANCE
