Responsibilities:
  • Establish a strategic marketing plan that effectively promotes our legal firm
  • Take responsibility for all print marketing materials including letterhead, business cards, brochures, flyers, etc. all copywriting and image creation to ensure the firm maintains its brand integrity
  • Oversee social media and website, mailing lists, data analytics, and SEO to ensure content is regularly updated with the most recent information
  • Create monthly breakdowns of our analytics on web and social, recommend improvements, and identify growth opportunities based on the trends in the latest market research
  • Develop content for digital marketing campaigns including email, social media, and online advertisements that will get the word out there about our legal services
  • Manage firm systems for sending out various communications to potential, current, and previous clients, vendors, and referral sources.
  • Strategize and coordinate speaking events, webinars, and social events.
  • Serving as “back of the room” support at speaking engagements.
  • Once a client’s file is closed, operate the Post Representation Glidepath systems to nurture past client relationships causing more new referrals and new matters from the client base.
  • Coordinate live events/seminars/open house/client or referral source appreciation receptions. Tasks include following action plans for the event, being sure rainmakers are scheduled and prepared for the event, coordinating the invitation and RSVP lists, marketing materials, coordinating registrations, setting up tables and/or the booth at resource events or trade shows, etc.
  • Coordinate with copywriter(s) on monthly mailed and/or digital newsletters, as well as ensure the newsletter(s) are sent on time.
  • Coordinate daily and weekly meetings with team members to ensure all marketing project deadlines are met.
  • Execute/coordinate activities related to the firm’s online presence. This includes reputation management, website updates, social media, You Tube, directory listings, and PPC.
  • Assist with editing submitted copy, rewriting, and developing copy as necessary for appropriate style, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and length using AP style guidelines.
  • Assist with the proofing process, incorporating suggestions and edits to ensure marketing information is accurate, consistent, and meets strategic goals.
  • Coordinate with other possible vendors/agencies to support marketing efforts.
  • Make sure to touch base and stay aware of possible speaking/publishing opportunities for the firm, such as radio stations, podcasts, journals, blogs, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Preference for candidates with a background in legal or with a desire to build a career in the legal industry
  • BA in Marketing or equivalent work experience required
  • Applicants will need to be comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate professional written and verbal marketing communication skills
  • Familiarity with web platforms, email systems, social media, public relations, and brand identity - basic graphic design skills are a plus
  • Proven experience as a marketing assistant. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills are required and include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email marketing software, CRMs, etc. Adobe Creative Suite and/or Photoshop is a plus.
  • Internet marketing skills include the ability to execute social media strategy (at least Facebook, Linked In, and Instagram), a You Tube channel, and update Word Press or similar content management websites is a plus.
