The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8‑18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the HJGT.

HJGT is the largest junior golf tour in the world hosting more 2‑day nationally ranked events than any other tour. In 2017, the tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis, Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods, and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is looking for a creative, driven, and enthusiastic Digital Content Creator to join our media team for the semester. This hands‑on internship will give you the opportunity to create engaging content and develop your skills in sports marketing and digital storytelling.

Location: Winter Garden, FL

Hours: Th‑M (hours vary)

Reports to: Manager, Digital Marketing

• Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• This is an unpaid internship; you must receive at least one (1) credit for the onsite experience from an accredited college or university.
• Must be in good standing with your institution.

• Generate engaging and compelling content for various social media platforms, including Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter).
• Produce and edit photography and/or short‑form video content using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Cap Cut, Lightroom, and Photoshop or Canva.
• Stay up to date on trends, viral challenges, and platform storytelling for the HJGT brand.
• Support day‑to‑day brainstorming for social content across platforms.
• Hit marketing deadlines and assist all departments in achieving their objectives.

• Grow social media by 40% during the time of the internship (all platforms combined).
• Create profitable marketing/social campaigns for invitationals, products, and other events.

• Experience in golf or sports photography.
• Proficiency in editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Cap Cut, Final Cut Pro, and/or Canva).
• Full understanding of each social media platform and its capabilities, staying on top of trends.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Creative and innovative mindset.
• Willingness to work weekends.

• College credit for a hands‑on, once‑in‑a‑lifetime educational experience.
• Minimal travel.
• Access to three golf courses at Orange County National.
• Hands‑on experience in every aspect of tournament operations, retail marketing, and video productions.
• Resume building workshops.
• Classroom sessions with HJGT employees to assist with career planning.
• Recommendation letters from full‑time employees.
• Networking events.
• Interns will be provided with fully furnished housing at Champions Gate in Orlando, FL.

Students will be able to use the HJGT internship for college credit. Your institution will decide the amount of credits. All interns must be enrolled in at least one credit.

• Experience in the golf industry.
• Potential full‑time employment with HJGT or through its network.

Interns will meet and interact with various groups of people and get to know future stars of the PGA and LPGA tours. You will learn how to manage people, manage departments, and problem‑solve in a fun environment. The role may require varying schedules, including nights and weekends.
