About The HJGT The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the HJGT.

Currently the HJGT is the largest junior golf tour in the world hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour.

Location: Winter Garden, FL

Hours: Th-M (hours vary)

Reports to: Manager, Digital Marketing

Position Summary The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is looking for a creative, driven, and enthusiastic Digital Content Creator to join our media team for this semester. This hands‑on internship will give you the opportunity to create engaging content and develop your skills in sports marketing and digital storytelling.

• Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications or other related fields
• This is an unpaid internship, and you must receive at least one (1) credit for the onsite experience from an accredited College/University.
• Must be in good standing of your College/University
• Must be able to commute or seek your own housing in the Orlando/ Winter Garden, FL area.

• Generate engaging and compelling content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter).
• Produce and edit photography and/or short‑form video content using editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Capcut, Lightroom, Photoshop or Canva.
• Stay up to date on trends, viral challenges, and platform storytelling for the HJGT brand on our social media platforms.
• Support day‑to‑day brainstorming for social media content.

• Hit all marketing deadlines and assist every department in their overall objectives.
• Grow social media by 40% during the internship (all platforms combined).
• Create profitable marketing/social campaigns for invitationals, products, etc.

• Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Photography or related field.
• Experience in golf and/or sports photography.
• Proficiency in editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Capcut, Final Cut Pro and/or Canva).
• Full understanding of each social media platform and its capabilities while staying on top of trends (Instagram, X, Tik Tok, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Creative and innovative mindset.
• Willingness to work weekends for tournament events in the Orlando/ Winter Garden area.

• College Credit for hands‑on, once‑in‑a‑lifetime educational experience.
• Minimal travel.
• Access to three golf courses at Orange County National:
  Crooked Cat, Panther Lake, and the Tooth (prices vary).
• Hands‑on experience and to learn every aspect of tournament operations, retail marketing, and video production.
• Resume building workshops.
• Classroom sessions with HJGT employees to assist with career planning.
• Recommendation letters from full‑time employees.
• Networking events.
• Interns will be provided with fully furnished housing at Champions Gate in Orlando, FL.

Students will be able to use the HJGT internship for college credit. Your institution will decide the amount of credits. All interns MUST be enrolled in at least one credit.

• Experience in the golf industry.
• To obtain full‑time employment with HJGT or through its network.

There are countless benefits to participating in the HJGT internship program. Interns will meet and interact with various groups of people and get to know the future stars of the PGA and LPGA tours. Interns will be around golf professionals, directors of golf, course superintendents, influential and successful sponsors, parents, and spectators.
