Marketing Communications, Client Relationship Manager
The Senior Account Executive will lead national publicity initiatives for Allied Global Marketing, managing accounts from concept through execution and analysis. This role requires exceptional client relationship management skills, strategic thinking capabilities, and the ability to oversee junior team members while driving successful publicity campaigns. The Senior Account Executive will serve as a primary client contact, develop comprehensive PR strategies, secure high-quality media placements, and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media outlets across local, regional, and national markets.
While the position will be based in Orlando, it could also support other accounts around the U.S. including New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and Las Vegas.
- Leading day-to-day client strategy and communication
- Drafting client-facing and media-facing documents
- Attending and taking internal and external notes during meetings and conference calls
- Staffing photoshoots and press/influencer opportunities
- Contributing to and executing against timelines and communications plans
- Tracking and reporting on all earned coverage while developing the position as required by the needs of the team and clients

- Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies with minimal senior-level input and oversight
- Proactively monitor industry trends and cultural moments to identify messaging opportunities and share with the wider team for visibility

- Provide oversight to ensure delivery of timely, strategic client reports
- Conduct competitive analysis and in-depth research to develop campaign planning and client strategy

- Support junior team members in developing research and reporting skills
- Client Support
- Serve as a lead client contact, managing day-to-day relationships with minimal oversight
- Lead client meetings and calls with confidence and strategic insight
- Proactively identify and address client needs before they become issues
- Understand how to achieve high client retention rates and positive feedback
- Manage client expectations and deliver on all commitments within agreed timelines with minimal oversight
- Understand crisis communication efforts by working with senior leadership on program implementation

- Secure high-quality media placements across local, regional, and national outlets
- Lead pitch strategy and execution to generate earned media coverage
- Coordinate event coverage and media attendance at client activations with minimal oversight
- Proactively lead media roundups that highlight key insights and trends
- Track and analyze placement quality, reach, and messaging effectiveness to inform next month’s goals
- Secure placements in tier-one (top-tier) publications and broadcast outlets
- Media Relations
- Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts and influencers on local, regional, and national levels
- Take a proactive approach to relationship building with journalists through desksides, coffee meetings, and email introductions
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the media landscape, outlet priorities, and editorial calendars nationally, regionally, and locally
- Build reporter relationships that result in proactive story opportunities
- Coordinate significant media opportunities, interviews, and broadcast segments
- Serve as a trusted source for media contacts across assigned client categories
- Maintain current knowledge of journalist beats and media personnel changes on national, regional, and local levels
- Writing
- Create compelling and comprehensive press releases and press materials with minimal editing required
- Develop strategic and timely pitches that resonate with target media outlets
- Write comprehensive briefing documents, run-of-show, and client presentations
- Craft creative story angles and campaign concepts that generate media interest
- Adapt writing style and tone to match different client brands and target audiences
