Walt Disney World Executive Communications & Public Affairs Intern, Spring 2027

About the Role

The Walt Disney World® Resort is looking for a creative, dynamic communicator to support the Communications & Public Affairs department and the Executive Communications team. This position will primarily support the development of graphics, social media content, presentation templates, and other assets as needed. The intern will also help create written and visual communications that enable senior leaders to connect with Cast Members, business partners, and external audiences.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across teams and contribute to executive communications presentations, events, and engagements.

What You Will Do
  • Contribute to the development of executive communications strategies
  • Develop and design presentations
  • Film and edit videos for social media channels
  • Design graphics as needed for the Communications & Public Affairs team
  • Collaborate with the Communications & Public Affairs team to help ensure we tell our stories in the most innovative and creative ways
  • Build relationships with partners locally and across the company to amplify our message
  • Support the planning and execution of executive communications programs and events
  • Assist with preparation, communication, and facilitation of executive communications presentations
  • Assist with coordinating and supporting ongoing executive engagement tactics
  • Create and update various forms of written communication, such as scripts and correspondence
  • General administrative support

This internship is a full-time opportunity for six months, from January 2027 through June 2027.

  • Ability to create visually compelling presentations with Canva, Apple Keynote, and/or Microsoft Power Point
  • Demonstrated proficiency in design and photo editing/experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software
  • Expertise in capturing and editing content for social media, including Instagram and Linked In
  • Experience with both Mac and Windows operating systems, with high expertise in Mac
  • Willingness to learn new software applications
  • Available to work evenings and weekends when needed
Nice-to-Haves
  • Previous Disney experience
  • Public speaking and sharing professional presentations
  • Crafting and organizing events
  • Supporting executives or public figures (e.g., local government officials)
  • Social Media planning experience
  • Knowledge of HTML
  • Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 applications
Education

Junior or Senior year preferred

Pursuing a degree in Communications, English, Creative Writing, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Journalism, Customer Engagement, Social Communication, Broadcast Communications, or other relevant subjects.
