Director of Elementary Ministry

St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Orlando, Florida.

Full‑time, exempt position reporting to the Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Next Generation Ministries.

• Lead the spiritual formation and discipleship of children in Grades 1–5 and their families.
• Provide leadership for Sunday and mid‑week programming, volunteer development, family engagement, Vacation Bible School, special events, and creative large‑group ministry experiences in the Treehouse ministry environment.
• Work closely with the Associate Pastor to create a seamless pathway of discipleship from Preschool through Student Ministry.
• Recruit, equip, and lead volunteers for all child‑ministry activities.
• Partner with parents as primary spiritual influencers and foster relationships with children and families.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience leading and equipping volunteers for child‑ministry programs.
• Passionate follower of Jesus Christ with a heart for discipleship.
• Creativity in ministry and commitment to engaging families and children.
• United Methodist experience helpful but not required.

Full‑time, exempt position providing a competitive salary and benefits appropriate for the district.
