Position Summary
Supervises the Non‑Invasive Cardiology Technologists, RNs, EKG Technicians, and Scheduling Coordinators in the Non‑Invasive Cardiology Department, including all daily operations, staffing, performance management, and operational functions.
Opening Summer 2026 at 4000 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, FL.

Opening Summer 2026, Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital – a state‑of‑the‑art, seven‑story, multi‑specialty hospital – will serve as a vital 550,000 square‑foot healthcare hub offering:

Responsibilities
  • Participates in hiring and training of new staff
  • Responsible for scheduling of all staff
  • Ensures completion of all rotational tasks
  • Leads the process in daily operational problem resolution
  • Jointly participates with the Director of Cardiac Diagnostic and Interventional Services on staff coaching plans
  • Assumes the role of the Director of Cardiac Diagnostic and Interventional Services when absent
  • Participates with the Director in coordination of departmental activities
  • Practices efficient use and selection of supplies and equipment
  • Works closely with the Manager of Business Systems, Manager of Ancillary System Support, Ancillary Services, CVOR, and all other Cardiology units
  • Communicates with the Medical Director and the Chairman of the Department of Cardiology to maintain and improve patient procedural operations
  • Participates with the Director in Promotional, Marketing, and Managed Care activities for the department
  • Facilitates budget improvement activities
  • Oversees all departmental work group functions
  • Ensures all quality control and state/federal regulations are met
  • Responsible for all departmental participation in Process Improvement teams inter‑departmentally
  • Maintains records of Process Improvement for the Non‑Invasive Cardiology Department for the Joint Commission
  • Manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
Other Related Functions
  • Maintains a cooperative working environment in the department and corrects personnel inadequacies of skill, knowledge, or CTE behaviors
