Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our dynamic emergency medicine team. The APP will provide comprehensive care to patients presenting with acute and urgent medical conditions, performing typical emergency room procedures in collaboration with our board-certified emergency physicians. This role requires clinical excellence, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Perform medical evaluations, diagnostic testing, and treatment for patients presenting with acute and urgent conditions.
- Conduct emergency procedures, including suturing, splinting, wound care, and abscess incision and drainage.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure quality and timely patient care.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the EMR system.
- Adhere to established clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications- Education:
Master's degree - Experience:
Five or more years’ experience in a clinical area (or alternative with a recommendation from an internal provider or nurse) - Must hold one of the following:
Master’s Nurse Practitioner or Master’s Physician Assistant (bachelor’s required), Doctorate Nurse Practitioner - Clear and active license for the state in which you will be practicing.
- Active DEA license.
- Active PALS and ACLS certification.
- Successfully credentialed within each facility you will be performing shifts.
- Pass Level 2 background screen and drug test.
- Able to perform duties expected for an active role in a busy medical environment (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.)
- Able to stand and work up to a 12-hour shift in the facility.
- Legibly write English, clearly speak English, and proficiently read English.
- Bilingual preferred.
Must hold PA or ARNP License in the State of Florida.
