Full-time, Days, 40 hours per week

• Monitor performance of nursing staff, provide feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to ensure clinical and professional standards are met.
• Foster professional growth by identifying training needs, organizing educational programs, and mentoring staff to enhance their skills and career progression.
• Resolve conflicts among staff promptly and effectively using mediation techniques to maintain a positive work environment and ensure team cohesion.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Mentor and precept new staff by providing hands-on training, feedback, and fostering professional development.

• Leadership of unit staff in delivery of patient care.
• Leadership of performance improvement initiatives on the unit.
• Critical thinking related to unit operations and patient care delivery.
• Management of unit business, including assessment and management of financial practices and productivity.
• Assistance and mentorship of others with technology utilized on the unit.
• Excellent clinical practice knowledge, applied to the unit setting.
• Influence of relationships and behaviors to meet unit needs.
• Role model for professionalism on the assigned unit.
• Broad nursing knowledge, leadership, responsibility, authority, and independent functioning.
• Insight for employee growth and development, with impartial counseling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with an Electronic Health Record.

Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required). Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred).

1+ year charge nurse or relevant leadership experience (Preferred). 1+ year nursing experience within the acute care setting (Preferred).

• Registered Nurse (RN) - Required.
• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) - Required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Required.
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) - Preferred.
