Position Summary
Department:
Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU). Status:
Variable Full-Time (Three 12‑hour shifts).
Shift: Days (7am – 7pm).
Title:
Registered Nurse.
About CPCU:
The CPCU, a 43‑bed unit, serves the adult population by offering Level II Cardiac Services. Patients include Acute Heart Failure, uncontrolled arrhythmias, chest pain, cardiac catheterization, and percutaneous coronary intervention.

- Assess patients’ needs and develop or revise individualized plans of care based on patient needs and responses, and evaluate progress toward expected outcomes.

- Serve as preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, or nurse clinician.
- Communicate and collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to plan and manage the unit or department.
- Serve as role model for staff and support the hospital and nursing department’s goals and strategies.
- Apply knowledge of growth and development principles, assess data reflective of patient status, and interpret necessary information to identify patients’ age‑specific needs.
- Coordinate care and delegate as appropriate to other team members on a defined group of patients.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license (must have passed NCLEX).
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
- Minimum 1 year RN experience.
