Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Opportunities - Advent Health Central Florida

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PA-C), under the supervision of physicians, is responsible for providing comprehensive care to NICU and newborn patients within the scope of licensure and the supervising physician's scope of practice.

• Evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, ordering and interpreting labs, X‑rays, and other diagnostic studies per specialty guidelines and under the guidance of the neonatologist.
• Performing procedures such as intubation, lumbar puncture, umbilical lines, PICC lines, chest tube placement, and circumcisions.
• Communicating effectively with parents, other specialists, and NICU team members.
• Providing education and support to patients' families.
• Dispensing medications under a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician.

• Level 4 NICU – Advent Health Orlando
• Well‑Baby and Level 2 NICU – 24‑hour shifts (restricted/unrestricted) – Advent Health Altamonte
• Well‑Baby and Level 2 NICU – 24‑hour shifts – Holmes Regional Medical Center
• Well‑Baby and Level 2 NICU – Advent Health Ocala
• Full‑time opportunities – Advent Health Tampa and Advent Health Riverview NICUs

• Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies with Neonatal Certification (required).
• 1‑2 years of experience in the NICU as an RN (highly preferred).
• 1‑2 years of experience in the NICU as a Neonatal APRN or Neonatal PA‑C (preferred but not required).

• Must hold a valid Florida APRN or PA‑C License with Neonatal certification.
• Certification through ANCC or another nationally recognized certifying body.
• NRP certification.
