About the Facility
University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), provides intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. The facility is located on a 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida and includes 112 licensed beds.
We seek qualified professionals with an active/clear license in the state of Florida. Previous experience in a psychiatric facility or rehabilitation program is required.
Position SummaryThis temporary assignment supports our team for 12 weeks on 12‑hour night shifts, with potential extension up to 6 months. It is an excellent opportunity for RNs who want hands‑on experience in Psychiatric Care without a long‑term commitment. The position is not eligible for benefit programs. Pay is $75/hour.
Current or recent employees of UHS are not eligible for this program. Candidates employed by any UHS facility within the last 6 months are not eligible.
Position DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with the interdisciplinary team, following the nursing process and standards of care. The RN also oversees and directs Mental Health Technicians on the unit to ensure patient safety and meet their needs.
Qualifications- Education:
Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program. - Experience:
Minimum of three years in a psychiatric health‑care facility preferred. - License:
Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Florida required.
