Pay depending on experience $110,000 - $120,000 annually plus excellent benefits.
Position SummaryPurpose
The REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF RESIDENT CARE RN (RDRC/RN) oversees the development and implementation of all clinical programs in an assigned region in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Century Park standards. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and providing training and support for nursing care management in the region, to achieve Century Park’s quality and financial objectives for Resident Care at each community.
Ensures the highest quality of care is delivered to residents through quality clinical systems. Reports to the Director of Care Services.
Working Conditions
- Works in office as well as in communities (in resident apartments, offices, and throughout community)
- Subject to frequent interruptions
- Works beyond normal working hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily as necessary
- Subject to falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc. during community visits
Possible exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including exposure to AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses
Education and Experience
- Must possess a nursing diploma or AS or BS degree in nursing from an accredited school college or university
- Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment
- Must have three (3) or more years of successful nurse supervisory experience (senior services preferred)
- Must be knowledgeable of federal and state industry regulations
- Two years multi-site experience preferred
Must have CPR certification upon hire, or obtain during orientation, certification must remain current during employment

- Must be willing and able to travel extensively
- Must demonstrate effective communication skills with physicians, resident care staff, residents, families, vendors, and community
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing administration practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in the senior services industry.
- Identifies and helps solve clinical issues in communities
- Oversees medication program including accuracy of medication assistance records (MARs), providing hands‑on medication assistance to residents and monitoring med passes
- Conducts regular audits of medication records, med storage areas, MARs and Narcotic Declining Inventories
- Serves as an effective role model, maintaining an approachable leadership style
- Hospitality Focus
- Ensures Resident Care Directors and departmental staff perform all duties with a hospitality focus, meeting and exceeding resident requests and needs
- Operating Margin
- Assists Resident Care Directors with managing labor and resources in accordance with forecasted budget
- Occupancy
- Provides guidance to Resident Care Directors and resident care staff to establish and support their roles with occupancy and resident satisfaction
- Talent/Staffing
- Actively supports the interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, supervision, and development of Resident Care Directors in the region
- Provides guidance to Resident Care Directors related to staffing, hiring training and counseling new resident care staff
- Actively participates in and encourages staff retention programs, including timely evaluations and GEM program
- Primary Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrates expert knowledge of standards of nursing practices and assisted living regulations

- Plans, develops, organizes, implements and evaluates resident care goals in each community
- Supports staffing for consistent assignment in each community
- Guides Resident Care Directors in areas of problem‑solving and conflict management
- Supports Resident Care Directors in the use of QMPI tool and action planning process
- Maintains effective communication between communities and Corporate office
- Supports electronic health record applications in communities (i.e., medication management, alerts)
- Utilizes education and clinical systems development to ensure highest level of resident care
- Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the resident care department
- Must perform proficiently in all competency areas, including but not limited to: daily leadership responsibilities, supervisory responsibilities, regulatory compliance, and resident rights
