Opportunity OverviewWe have an opening for a Ambulatory Surgery Center Registered Nurse to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Orlando, Florida
.
- Monday through Friday, from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM; one weekend per month and three holidays per year
In this role, the Ambulatory Surgery Center Registered Nurse will:
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care in the operating room setting
- Assist in pre-operative assessments and verifying surgical consents
- Perform pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative patient care duties for surgical procedures including egg retrievals, hysteroscopies, embryo transfers
- Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond to patient status changes or emergencies
- Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical support teams
- Perform accurate instrument and supply counts in compliance with safety standards
- Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control protocols
- Document patient care in the EMR system in real-time with attention to accuracy and detail
- Provide post-operative education and discharge instructions to patients and their partners
- Participate in patient safety, quality improvement initiatives, and ASC accreditation compliance
- Support a collaborative and emotionally supportive environment for patients and staff
- Maintain inventory of OR supplies and recommend cost-effective ordering strategies
- Participate in training, development, and education for new nursing staff or surgical support

Qualifications and Skills Include:- Current RN license
- At least 1 year of recent experience in an operating room, PACU, or ambulatory surgery center setting, preferred
- Current AHA, BLS, and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Strong understanding of perioperative nursing principles, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols - Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced and high-acuity surgical environment
- Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Professionalism, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit
