Nurse Operations Manager (NOM) - NICU Level III/IV Unit Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager to provide leadership and operational oversight for the Neonatal Level III/IV Unit. This role is accountable for achieving departmental and hospital goals in collaboration with medical staff and leadership, ensuring exceptional patient care, safety, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities Evaluate the care environment and implement improvements to ensure quality service, patient flow, comfort, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, Joint Commission, infection control, risk management). Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate patient care delivery to achieve consistent, high-quality outcomes. Foster a safe, high-reliability environment for patients and team members. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion while contributing to nursing policies and organizational decision-making.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to measure and enhance nursing and patient care performance. Serve as a change agent, guiding staff through organizational and operational transitions. Develop and maintain an effective care delivery model aligned with patient and family needs. Support implementation of new technologies, procedures, and services. Qualifications Education & Training:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or related graduate degree preferred Licensure & Certification:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Additional certifications may be required based on patient population (ACLS, PALS, NALS, TNCC) National leadership certification (ANCC or AONL) required within 2 years of hire
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Nurse in an Neonatal level III or IV setting At least 1 year of leadership experience in a level III or IV NICU
Education & Training:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or related graduate degree preferred Licensure & Certification:
