Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse (Cardiac Cath Lab) FULL-TIME, with night, weekend and holiday call to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.

Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children’s Hospital is a 100‑bed pediatric hospital with a 24‑hour Emergency Department designed for children and outpatient pediatric clinics with specialties previously unavailable in the region.
The Cardiac Catheterization Registered Nurse operates sophisticated equipment and provides patient care during catheterization procedures, assists physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology studies, and interprets hemodynamic waveforms and electrocardiographic tracings.
Position Responsibilities- Operate hemodynamic/physiologic recording, digital cineangiographic and electrophysiologic equipment.
- Perform and interpret hemodynamic waveforms. Operate complex physiologic recording computer system including routine programs for diagnostic procedures and special measurement programs for interventional procedures. Maintain storage and retrieval systems for all records.
- Maintain proper performance of physiologic recording equipment and biplane digital angiographic equipment; recognize and troubleshoot problems with equipment.
- Prepare surgical trays, instruments, contrast media, room and patient for scheduled procedures. Assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional procedures, EP studies, pacemaker implantation and related procedures in the CICU and OR.
- With approval of the Medical Director, Chief of Cardiology and Administrator, develop policies and procedures for quality control of physiologic recording processes, digital recording processes and record storage and retrieval systems. Monitor quality control indicators.
- Provide age‑and developmental‑appropriate care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Maintain clinical competency in all aspects of cardiac catheterization and provide direct patient care as needed.
- Provide safe and appropriate nursing care.
- Recognize and identify own learning needs and responsibility for continual development. Strive to increase knowledge through independent study.
- Assess own strengths and weaknesses, identify goals for professional growth and strive to meet these goals.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care.
- Retrieve narcotic keys from Pixis and perform narcotic count.
- ASN required.
- Active Florida or multi‑state RN license, required.
- National certification in area of clinical specialty preferred.
- Minimum of one year RN experience required.
- Previous pediatric cardiac critical care and/or pediatric Cath lab experience preferred.
- Valid American Heart Association BLS Certification; must be valid for 90 days post start date.
- Valid American Heart Association PALS.
- Valid American Heart Association ACLS within 90 days of hire.
