Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Urgent Care

Nemours is seeking a Full Time Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider to join our Urgent Care Team in Florida! This position will focus on working in our Urgent Care locations in the Orlando area. Nemours Children’s urgent care services treat nonlife‑threatening illnesses and injuries in children from newborns to age 18. We offer three locations throughout the Orlando area including our offices in Kissimmee, Waterford Lakes, and Lake Nona.

• Works collaboratively with other members of the team to obtain history and perform physical examinations to assess and treat acute injuries and illnesses.
• Comfortable practicing independently with physicians available via phone for consultations.
• Provides preliminary interpretation of x‑ray with radiology over‑read.
• Obtains and interprets appropriate lab tests for possible infections or abnormalities.
• Provides health care teaching and counseling regarding presenting complaints.
• Provides minor laceration repair with adhesive or sutures; removes staples and sutures.
• Maintains health records in EHR (Epic).

• Must have current Florida APRN/PA license in good standing.
• Pediatric Acute Care certification for NPs.
• Current AHA BLS certificate upon hire.
• 1 year of pediatric advanced practice experience required.
• 1 year of previous ED/Urgent Care experience required.
