The Clinical Educator & Infection Control Nurse
Full‑time professional nurse position providing discipline‑focused orientation for nursing staff.
Responsibilities- Identify and assess the education needs of clinical staff to ensure they are competent to provide direct patient care.
- Provide leadership to the nursing staff in the nursing care delivery system in accordance with the hospital’s philosophy and established nursing standards of practice and policies.
- Provide infection control orientation for hospital staff.
- Provide leadership and consultation to staff to monitor infection control procedures in accordance with hospital’s policies.
- Identify the occurrence of outbreaks or clusters of infectious diseases.
Job Requirements:
- Current license to practice nursing in the State of Florida.
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
- Preferred: one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5‑65yrs+.
- Work hours:
12‑hour shifts; day or night shift available; rotating weekends.
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical terminology for medical documentation is preferred.
- Experience with behavioral health patient is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care principles for adult psychiatric patients is beneficial.
- Experience working with children in a psychiatric setting is highly desirable.
- Competence in taking vital signs accurately.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
