Nurse Educator​/Infection Control Rn

The Clinical Educator & Infection Control Nurse

Full‑time professional nurse position providing discipline‑focused orientation for nursing staff.

• Identify and assess the education needs of clinical staff to ensure they are competent to provide direct patient care.
• Provide leadership to the nursing staff in the nursing care delivery system in accordance with the hospital’s philosophy and established nursing standards of practice and policies.
• Provide infection control orientation for hospital staff.
• Provide leadership and consultation to staff to monitor infection control procedures in accordance with hospital’s policies.
• Identify the occurrence of outbreaks or clusters of infectious diseases.

Job Requirements:

• Current license to practice nursing in the State of Florida.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Preferred: one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5‑65yrs+.
• Work hours:
  
  12‑hour shifts; day or night shift available; rotating weekends.

Skills:

• Proficiency in medical terminology for medical documentation is preferred.
• Experience with behavioral health patient is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care principles for adult psychiatric patients is beneficial.
• Experience working with children in a psychiatric setting is highly desirable.
• Competence in taking vital signs accurately.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
