Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174‑bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24‑hour emergency services and offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment for children, adolescents and adults; partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and ECT services for adults.

The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including child, adolescent, geriatric and chemical dependency patients using the nursing process. Duties include assessing mental health needs, developing nursing diagnoses, identifying outcomes, planning and evaluating nursing care; administering and monitoring the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; ensuring safety and providing milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.
We are currently seeking full‑time Registered Nurses.
Must be available to attend the full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: M‑F 8:00‑4:30 PM / Week 2:
Tu & We 9:00‑5:00 PM
- Provide leadership and direction to licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, and counselors. Direct milieu management.
- Provide assessment of patients’ psychiatric and medical status.
- Contribute to treatment plans as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Document nursing care, treatment, and patient’s response to treatment.
- Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and chemical dependency disorders and apply appropriate treatment interventions.

- Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Investigation.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school (Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida required.
- Minimum of one year related experience; psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Hours:
Day shift 7:00‑7:00 PM with rotating weekends required.
