Job Overview

Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse (CVOR) full‑time position at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida. The role requires variable shifts with night, weekend, and holiday call and a 30‑minute response time.

• $10,000 sign‑on bonus (requires two years of specialty experience)

• Provide holistic nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, health teaching, and counseling.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a licensed practitioner.
• Supervise and teach other personnel in nursing theory and practice.
• Apply clinical judgment using policies, procedures, guidelines, and evidence‑based references to make practice decisions.
• Collect and interpret complex patient data to make immediate clinical decisions.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration, seek expert consultation, and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Conduct clinical inquiry by seeking evidence, participating in research, and implementing practice changes.
• Create a safe, compassionate, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Provide culturally competent care, effective communication, and respect for patient autonomy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Advocate for patients and families, serve as an ethics resource, and resolve ethical and moral issues.
• Participate in nursing governance, committees, councils, and initiatives to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes.
• Utilize resources to plan and provide nursing services that are safe, effective, and financially responsible.
• Facilitate learning for patients, families, associates, and the community, including teaching plans and mentorship.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (Florida or multi‑state) required.
• National certification in the area of clinical specialty preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months RN experience required, preference for pediatric specialty experience.
• American Heart Association BLS certification valid for 90 days post‑start.
• American Heart Association PALS certification.
• American Heart Association ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.

• Sign‑on bonus awarded to candidates with at least two years of specialty experience.
