Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty – OB/Women's Health
Grand Canyon University’s College of Nursing and Health Care Professions seeks a full‑time faculty member to support the OB/Women’s Health clinical program. The role involves indirect and direct instruction, student evaluation, and collaboration with faculty to enhance clinical education.
Location & Schedule605 Crescent Executive Ct, Lake Mary, FL
Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (flexible for clinical rotations)
- Reinforce didactic content and teach clinical and laboratory application of nursing skills for pre‑licensure students.
- Collaborate with content‑area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical and lab objectives.
- Participate in grading written assignments and clinical/lab performance check‑offs.
- Attend program faculty meetings and maintain communication with faculty and program director.
- Stay current with emerging trends and developments in nursing practice related to OB/Women’s Health.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements for the program.
- Uphold the holistic nature of nursing and the university’s philosophical pillars.
- Travel to student clinical sites for direct observation of student performance.
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) – required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in OB/GYN or Women’s Health nursing.
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida (or a compact state).
- Prior collegiate teaching experience – preferred.
- Evidence of professional involvement (membership in associations, presentations, research, publications).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students and preceptors.
- Commitment to support the university program in all aspects and alignment with the institution’s philosophy and mission.
