Job Description:
Up to $15,000 Sign-on Bonus and $5,000 Relocation Assistance available to eligible candidates (see terms below)
Terms:
12-month Full-time Employment Contract Required for Sign-On and Relocation

Unit Highlights:
* Pediatric Cardiac ICU caring for congenital heart patients pre/post-op, including caths, EP studies, and complex cardiac conditions
* 15-bed unit with strong patient outcomes, 2-3 week average LOS, and flexible nurse-to-patient ratios (1:1-1:3 based on acuity)
* Highly skilled, collaborative team of 70+ members including RNs, ECMO specialists, ANMs, and PCTs
* Magnet-designated unit with award-winning patient experience, advanced cath lab, and strong focus on education, mentorship, and professional growth

Primary
Job Responsibilities:
* Oversees staff performance, manages staffing, hiring, orientation, and discipline, while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
* Manages budgets and resources, maintains appropriate staffing and understands healthcare finance. Leads and supports performance and quality improvement initiatives, implements evidence-based practice changes, and ensures compliance with professional standards and hospital policies.
* Utilizes critical thinking and technology in decision-making, problem-solving, and integrating new systems to enhance patient care and outcomes.
* Provides strong leadership and mentorship, ensures high-quality clinical care, supports staff development, and maintains clear communication and planning for patient care delivery.
* Encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and maintains positive relationships with patients, staff, vendors, and other departments to ensure patient-centered care.
* Demonstrates professionalism, supports ongoing education and development, maintains confidentiality, and upholds ethical standards and organizational policies.
* Communicates effectively with patients, families, staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient focused care.
* Educates and mentors staff, ensuring adherence to clinical practice models and evidence-based practices.
* Develops and implements policies, procedures, and process improvement initiatives in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
