Job Title
Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is seeking a professional to join their team.
Position Summary
Responsible for performing all aspects of Central Florida Behavioral Hospital's intake and admission process, including handling inquiry calls, communication with referral sources, providing hospital and program information, making outside referrals, assessing and triaging mental health status, making patient safety and level of care recommendations, identifying insurance benefits, pre-certification of patient care, completing admission requirements, communicating patient safety concerns, and documenting information.
Job Duties
- Requests clinical information on potential patients
- Initiates verification of insurance coverage
- Coordinates admissions with unit staff and physician
- Follows EMTALA regulations and identifies high-risk individuals

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required. Minimum one year experience as a registered nurse required. Six months experience in psychiatric nursing preferred. Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of Florida required. Current CPR certification required (can be obtained upon hire). Knowledge of current nursing procedures. Must be available to attend full hospital and departmental orientations.
