THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION ONLY.
We are seeking LPNs or RNs that are interested in part-time work every Friday, Saturday or Sunday night from 6:00pm - 6:30am. Candidates interested in this role must have full availability each week for the days they express interest in. This part-time role does not alternate weekends off. For those interested, please speak to the recruiter about what day(s) you may be interested in.
Payrate (LPN): $30.50/hour
Payrate (RN): $36.50/hour
Responsibilities Overview:
- Comply with nursing policies and procedures to ensure nursing standards are met. Promotes optimal health for clients.
- Administers medications and treatments per physician’s orders and in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Can administer medications via all routes, without restriction, including controlled substances.
- Must be able to assist clients with all health and medical devices, including but not limited to glasses, hearing devices, tracheotomies, G/J tubes, colostomies, urostomies, apnea monitors, CPAP machines, ventilators, oxygen, oxygen concentrators, nebulizer machines, suction devices, suctioning toothbrushes, etc.
- Monitors clients for seizures, medication side effects, signs and symptoms of illness, and provides necessary nursing interventions.
- Informs Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing and /or physician of health status change/accidents, and injuries of clients. Notifies Director or Nursing or Health Care Coordinator of emergency situations.
- Completes all required documentation including but not limited to assessments, nurses’ notes, tracking forms, charting, incident reports, monthly/quarterly reports, etc.
- When requested, assists with quality assurance reviews and files documents in charts.
- Administration classes. Completes medication validation, and documentation as required by APD (65G-7) guidelines.
- Assists with Respiratory Therapy and IV Therapy as needed to include pushing IV medications and mixing of IV medications.
- Assists with clinical evaluations and assessment of medication administration and /or understanding of medical procedures of clients.
- Ensures client’s mealtime procedures and therapeutic positioning procedures, including client transfers, are followed.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Active unrestricted license as Registered Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Florida
- Experience in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Effectively communicate at all levels, write, and speak English
