Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Critical Care

Overview

Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, Florida is seeking a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pediatric Critical Care (PICU) Team. In this role you will obtain patient and family histories, perform physical and developmental assessment, make diagnoses, participate in developing a management plan, perform invasive procedures, obtain specialist consultations, teach and counsel patients and families, participate in teaching residents and students, and perform appropriate documentation.

You will be part of a collegial and multidisciplinary PICU team focused on excellent patient outcomes, teaching, and teamwork.

• Obtain patient and family histories, perform physical and developmental assessments, make diagnoses, and participate in developing management plans.
• Perform invasive procedures and obtain specialist consultations as needed.
• Teach and counsel patients and families; participate in teaching residents and students; perform appropriate documentation.
• Collaborate with the PICU multidisciplinary team to support high-quality patient care and outcomes.

• Current Active/clear Florida APRN or PA license in good standing.
• Current AHA BLS & PALS certification upon hire.
• Preferred:
  Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care Certification;
  Pediatric APP experience (Intensive Care, Transport, Acute Care, or Emergency Medicine welcomed).
• New-to-practice APPs encouraged to apply and will be supported through structured onboarding, mentorship, and training.
