Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator

The Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator supports clinical research studies by coordinating trial activities, providing patient care, collecting study data, and ensuring compliance with study protocols, FDA regulations, and ICH-GCP guidelines. This role partners with Principal Investigators, research staff, and sponsors to facilitate the successful execution of industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials while serving as a strong patient advocate.
Key Responsibilities
- Diabetes research experience or knowledge is highly preferred.
- Manage multiple clinical trial protocols from startup through closeout.
- Coordinate participant visits, informed consent, study procedures, and follow-up activities.
- Perform nursing assessments and clinical procedures, including phlebotomy, IV insertion, and administration of investigational medications.
- Ensure protocol compliance, accurate documentation, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Maintain study records, investigational products, and research materials securely and confidentially.
- Monitor participant safety and escalate protocol deviations or safety concerns as needed.
- Collaborate with investigators, sponsors, healthcare providers, and research teams.
- Maintain clinical readiness, follow HIPAA and infection control standards, and support ongoing regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Active Florida Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical research experience
- Diabetes research or clinical diabetes experience
- Experience managing clinical trial protocols and research documentation
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines, HIPAA requirements, and informed consent processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities
- Ability to adapt and integrate into multiple clinical settings based on study requirements
- Experience administering investigational products within clinical research environments
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Orlando, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $98000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
