Position Summary

Under the direction of the supervising provider, the Float APRN/PA delivers comprehensive primary care services while rotating between multiple clinic locations. You'll evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult patients, collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a value-based healthcare environment.

This position offers variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to care for diverse patient populations across multiple practices.

Responsibilities

As a Float APRN/PA, you will:

  • Provide primary care services for adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Perform routine examinations and comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Collect, document, and maintain patient medical histories while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Diagnose illnesses and develop treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, vaccinations, and other appropriate treatments.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing.
  • Educate patients regarding disease prevention, nutrition, hygiene, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Explain diagnoses, procedures, treatment plans, and test results to patients.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, specialists, therapists, assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform appropriate in-clinic procedures to diagnose, repair, or improve patient health.
  • Participate in research involving anatomy, treatments, medications, or disease prevention when applicable.
  • Spend 100% of your time focused on direct patient care, including patient visits and related clinical documentation, charting, and care coordination.

Required Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or Physician Assistant degree from an accredited program
  • Board Certified
  • Active, unrestricted Florida NP or PA license
  • Two or more years of adult medicine experience as an NP or PA
  • BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Commitment to providing outstanding patient-centered care
