Position Summary

Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Pre and Post Procedural Recovery Area Team is seeking for a Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to administer patient care in an area in a hospital or inpatient setting where patients have an advanced illness or injury that routinely requires timely, intense, and complex care to stabilize and support the patient’s medical condition. These areas require a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio and highly trained team members with advanced skills.

The APH Pre and post Catheterization Recovery Area includes Pre-procedural holding and the Post-anesthesia Care Phases I and II. It is located on the third floor of Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children behind the Pediatric Cardiac Care Unit and is fully equipped to recover pediatric and adult patients following any procedures completed in the APH Cath Lab and APH IR lab.

The unit is operational 12 hours a day 5 days a week (Monday thru Friday). The APH Peri anesthesia Unit, in conjunction with Cardiac Anesthesia Services, offers Peri anesthesia care to inpatients and outpatients who meet the anesthesia ASA Class I, II, III or IV physical status criteria of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. The major services include elective and urgent cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology procedures for pediatric and adult patients.

Patients having local, general, and monitored anesthesia care are treated.
