- Perform telephonic counseling for new patients on disease processes, prescribed drug action, common side effects, and treatment parameters
- Provide patient education through telephone inquiries, including chronic disease states, current treatment modalities, and side-effect management
- Monitor adherence and make outbound calls
- Collaborate with physicians and their staff to resolve clinical issues and obtain clinical data or prescriptions
- Assist in training new clinical staff on chronic illnesses and treatment modalities
- Maintain nursing CEUs and pursue continuous learning opportunities
- Practice with professionalism and accountability as a CVS employee
- Report Adverse Drug Events (ADEs)
- Perform other responsibilities as directed by senior management
- Active and unrestricted multi-state registered nursing license in Florida
- Ability to become licensed in states not part of the Nurse Licensure Compact
- 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting
- Medical/Surgical experience preferred
- Experience with personal computers and keyboard navigation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
- Must live within a 50-mile radius of either the Orlando or Tampa CVS Specialty Pharmacy locations
- Experience in an acute care setting with patients with chronic conditions preferred
- Experience in telephonic nursing preferred
- Associate degree in nursing (minimum)
- Ability to work 12:00-8:30 Eastern Time
- 40 hours per week
Demonstrates expertise in telephonic nursing, patient education, and chronic disease management while maintaining a strong commitment to professionalism and accountability. Proficient in collaborating with healthcare teams and reporting adverse drug events.
